We are pleased to share that Jehyun Lim, a student in the Sejong Class at St. Andrew Kim Korean School, has been selected as a member of the 9th National Heritage Digital Ambassador Program organized by VANK (Voluntary Agency Network of Korea).

VANK is a Korean civic diplomacy organization that works to promote Korea’s history and culture around the world and to correct inaccurate information about Korea. The National Heritage Digital Ambassador Program encourages students to research Korea’s history, culture, and national heritage and introduce them to a global audience through writing and digital content.

A total of 284 ambassadors are participating in the 9th program, which began with an online opening ceremony on August 29 and will continue through September 30.

This opportunity will also be connected to classroom learning at our Korean school. Sejong Class students will choose topics of interest—such as the geomungo, haegeum, kimchi, and taekwondo—and research how they can introduce Korean culture in ways that are easy for people from other countries to understand.

Through this project, students will deepen their understanding of Korean culture while developing research, writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Congratulations to Jehyun Lim on being selected as a National Heritage Digital Ambassador. We also appreciate your encouragement and support for all of our Sejong Class students as they take part in this meaningful learning experience.
